Sold Out Productions in partnership with the Black United Fund of Michigan have joined forces to bring you an unforgettable musical experience for the Holiday season. “Angels in the Wings: The Musical” on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Detroit’s historic Garden Theatre tells the story of the birth of Christ through the eyes of the Angels. This musical, in its fourth year, will take you on a journey from gospel, jazz, R&B, rap and classical music influences. Captivating costumes, breathtaking set designs and dance tributes to heartfelt musical renditions of some of the traditional and nontraditional Christmas carols will bring new life to a timeless Christmas story.

We’ve joined forces because many of our youth are facing various challenges today, and they need our continued support. Through a shared vision, Black United Fund of Michigan (BUF) is committed to supporting, developing, and implementing impactful youth empowerment programs through collaborative partnerships for the underserved and underrepresented in the community. Meanwhile, Sold Out Productions produces multiple theatrical endeavors featuring the youth and young adults within the Metro Detroit community and fits well into BUF’s mission offering our youth real-life experience in all aspects of theatre production. Through this partnership, proceeds from “Angels in the Wings: The Musical” will benefit the youth of BUF of Michigan.

This performance attracts more than 800 attendees including business and community leaders, government officials, church clergy and their congregations, local students, creative arts performers, and people throughout Southeast Michigan with matinee and evening performances. Our event promotion spans media outlets including TV, radio, print and digital, as well as social media outreach.
