You are a resource.
Your membership; along with direct contributions, support of special
events, payroll deductions and service on various committees are
the means through which BUF gains support.
MEMBERSHIP
A member is
an individual or a group that contributes funds to BUF. Annual gifts
of $25 or more entitles the contributor voting rights in selection
of the BUF Board of Directors.
Annual
Employee Campaigns:
Workplace Campaigns are convenient and allows donors to give at
their place of employment. Donors contributing $100 or more through
this plan will be acknowledged as BUF 100 Alliance members.
Corporate
Gifts:
Contributions from corporations and businesses in various amounts.
Direct
Contributions:
This is at the donors discretion and is a non-structured donation.
Special
Events:
Designed to enhance BUFs public image and raise additional
resources. BUF has three major events annually:
- BUF Sunday
Churches rallying in support of BUF; on a designated Sunday
- Annual Puppet
Show
Educational entertainment to promote positive self-awareness among
young people
- Annual Benefit
Dinner
BUFs major benefit celebration. Designed to promote, inspire
and encourage the communitys continued support.
Development
Commission:
Designed to identify and cultivate annual major gifts of $500 to
$10,000, or more, from private sources throughout the community.
Committee
of 100:
A coalition of 100 individual contributors pledging $100 or more
annually.

- Volunteer
Corps:
People who affirm the BUF vision and objectives by contributing
their time and energy.
- Ministerial
Advisory Board:
A group of Ministers who encourage positive growth by serving
as the link between BUF, the church and the community we serve.
- Resource
Allocation:
BUF has a diverse Board of Directors comprised of clergy, business,
civic and other community leaders. They review all written proposals
requesting funds and/or resources and make a determination based
on BUFs policies and guidelines
