What is meant by the definition of "Alternative Funding"?
Alternative Funding are those funds and resources made available through non- traditional funding organizations. Today, The Black United Fund of Michigan, Inc. is now considered a "Fund of Choice" for start-up organizations and programs. The Black United Fund of Michigan, Inc., along with a few others spearheaded the alternative funding thrust in 1970.

What are the advantages of diversified donor opportunities in the workplace?
Overall employee donor participation and total donations increase. Employees feel more involved in the community giving process. More resources become available for the community. Company's positive image as an employer is enhanced.

Who determines the allocations of resources?
